What's New?

New design for 2012! We have just launched our new 'Regency' collection as part of our Decadence range. This beautiful collection of wedding stationery is available in white, ivory or cream elegantly wrapped in a deep purple satin ribbon. The 'Regency' wedding invitation is embellished with an exquisite crystal buckle which is also featured on other bespoke stationery available in this collection such as, Orders of Service, Table names/numbers, Menus, Table Plan and Wedding Favours. We also offer co-ordinating place cards to complement your wedding reception. To obtain a sample wedding invitation of this new collection, please go to our samples page.

2012 Wedding Industry Awards. We are very excited as we have been nominated for the Wedding Industry Awards in the 'Special Touch' category for 2012, but we need the vote of our wedding couples to be in with a chance of winning! The awards recognise excellence in the wedding industry and a judging panel will decide the regional winners. The national winners in each category will be announced at the awards event in London in January 2012. You can vote for us if your wedding was between 01.01.10 and 31.10.11. Couples can only vote once their wedding has taken place. Voting closes on October 31st 2011. You can place your vote for Quills by visiting the awards website.

I predict that the bold colours of 2011 will continue such as deep pink and sunny yellow. Neutrals will make a big comeback this season with choices that convey tranquillity, such as taupe and pale blue. When looking at the fashion for brides, the following colours are featured on the catwalks: Turquoise, Coral, Black & White, Yellow, Fuchsia, Deep Red, Slate Grey, Purple & Latte and many couples are incorporating this into their wedding stationery to co-ordinate their theme.

This is reflected in our design studio at the moment. We are busy creating wedding stationery to compliment the lovely styles and colours of the season, such as our 'Paris' collections in black and white and also 'Serendipity' for classical elegance wrapped in a lavish satin ribbon in an array of different colours.

This week we have been putting the final touches to a collection for a couple who are getting married in a beautiful town house. It has been restored and inspired by the 1920's which will be the backdrop for the couples theme. The bride will be wearing a drop-waist vintage wedding dress and her bridesmaids dressed in flapper style dresses with fringes and button shoes. The couple are decorating their reception tables with feathers and beads and her table stationery has an art deco design - sounds divine!

Winter Wedding Invitations and Stationery

Winter Weddings are just around the corner and we are getting enquiries from those getting married November through to February. Samples are now ready for a couple with a 'winter theme' for their big day. They wanted something with the WOW! Factor to compliment the vintage style they have chosen for their wedding day. I have designed a wedding invitation using white pearlised card, decorated with satin ribbons and lace and embellished with a beautiful pearl and diamante flower.
